Meet Dr. Morehouse

Dr. Jeff MorehouseAn Albuquerque native, Dr. Morehouse graduated from Albuquerque Academy. He then traveled the country for college, medical school, and extensive post-residency training. An alumnus of both Stanford University (for undergraduate work) and Washington University in St. Louis (for medical school), Dr. Morehouse initially obtained full training and board certification in general surgery at Rutgers University (now Robert Wood Johnson University).

He spent a year in Manhattan caring for burn victims, including children, at New York Hospital. This experience fueled his passion for plastic and reconstructive surgery, so he spent an additional 2 years completing a fellowship in that specialty at one of the top programs in the U.S.–Yale University/New Haven Hospital.

With his training completed, Dr. Morehouse obtained board certification in plastic surgery and returned to Albuquerque, where he has served his fellow New Mexico residents since 1993. He still loves to travel and frequently makes trips to cheer on his daughter, a college wrestler on the national collegiate championship team at Oklahoma City University.
